About the Owners

Becca Hopson, LMT, AMT: Becca is a licensed massage therapist who is inspired by how the body moves and works to find balance. With a background in movement based performance art and dance, she quickly became passionate about bodywork therapies. She has worked as a massage instructor teaching clinical massage therapy, and as a practicing massage therapist working with athletes from all of the U.S. managing pain and muscular alignment to community members interested in relaxation and stress reduction. With her continued efforts to collaborate with healthcare practitioners and healers to bring balance to the body and the mind while providing the highest quality, professional, therapeutic massage to each client, she includes both Western and Eastern practices to her treatments.

Becca works with a wide range of clients and focuses on understanding how to help each client manage pain, increase lymphatic drainage, and reduce postural deviations. She graduated in 2004 from the SOMA Institute, a clinical massage therapy school in Chicago. Her focus is primarily Clinical Massage Therapy a Western alternative practice that understands, assesses, and treats conditions by working with the body’s soft tissues. Her studies have integrated some Eastern practice and include Clinical Massage, Cupping Therapy, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone, Hydrotherapy, Microcurrent, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, PreNatal Massage, Spa Treatments, Sports Massage, Swedish, and Trigger Point Release. Each therapeutic massage is a combination of modalities to provide a custom massage to balance both form and function of the body.

Amy Senesac, L.Ac., LMT, Dipl.OM: Amy is a licensed acupuncturist, licensed massage therapist, certified Chinese herbalist and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She has been practicing massage therapy for more than a decade since graduating from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy.  While still working as a massage therapist, Amy experienced an acupuncture treatment and was amazed at the immediate feeling of balance and full-flowing energy throughout her body. Within months, she began her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with the goal of expanding her skills as a healer.

Amy has a Masters of Oriental Medicine and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She studied TCM at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has worked with Chicago based practitioners and acupuncturists in Beijing. Amy’s visit to Beijing to study TCM and Asian bodywork with highly esteemed Chinese practitioners has been one of her most memorable experiences: “It was amazing to see whole families visiting an acupuncturist as well as entire hospitals devoted to the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine.”  Amy has also been part of the faculty of Pacific College as a Teacher and Massage Clinic Supervisor.

Amy treats a wide variety of health imbalances and has a special interest in treating musculoskeletal pain, age-related skin problems and stress-related disorders.  She has also successfully treated patients with signs and symptoms of many other chronic problems such as arthritis, headaches/migraines, anxiety and depression, digestive disorders and menstrual disorders.

Amy uses a personalized mixture of acupuncture, massage therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese dietary therapy and stress reduction exercises for the ultimate in relaxation and pain relief.  Amy customizes each patient’s treatment to not only help them heal from signs and symptoms of current illnesses but also to balance their body and mind to prevent ailments before they occur.
